This November
voters have the opportunity to strengthen our social security system
through prudent common sense principals.
With the baby boom generation nearing retirement it is important
that steps are taken to mitigate the strain on our vulnerable social
security system. Fortunately,
Governor George W. Bush has prepared a plan to enrich this system.
Under Governor Bush’s plan he
will ensure existing benefits for those who are retired or nearing
retirement, and he will allow younger workers the option of investing a
portion of their Social Security money in voluntary, personal savings
accounts. Governor Bush is
dedicated to working hard with Republicans and Democrats to implement a
bipartisan solution to this issue.
Social Security has always been a hot button issue that many
politicians have been afraid to address.
The fact that Governor Bush has decided to take action to improve
the Social Security issue shows Courage and Leadership.
These virtues, along with dignity and honor, are what Americans
crave. Unfortunately this
craving has not been satisfied for over seven years.
I hope you will join me in voting for George W. Bush for President on
November 7, 2000. |
