Day 1 - Sharon Runner
Sends a Message to Volunteers
Hi
all you BUSH supporters and volunteers!!!
We are here in Philadelphia and have enjoyed a wonderful first day
of the convention.
George and I rode the "public" transportation, via a
trolly above ground and then subway to the First Union Center - like our
Staples Center in LA., it took about 30 minutes, then a short walk through
several metal detectors and we were there! [click

Day 1 - Shelley Sorsabal
Reports: Delegates
Delighted with Positive Energy at Convention
After
the first official night of speeches from Mrs. Laura Bush and General
Colin Powell our local Delegates were awash with pride and patriotism.
Shelley Sorsabal described Mrs. Bush as a genuinely kind and down to earth
lady that oozed with sincerity that one can only feel from being right up
close and personal. Colin Powell is beyond description. His
presence is enough to fill any American with pride.
The Delegates first day began early. Delegation offices opened at
7:00am and the first meeting of Delegates was at 7:30am. Or course,
this is great for early bird Frank Visco. He subscribes to that
early-to-rise philosophy that Benjamin Franklin popularized.
Today, delegates have scheduled a little free time to get some sightseeing
done. Shelley Sorsabal, Sharon Runner, Deborah Rice and others have
elected to take some time to visit local historical attractions.
Check back later for more updates from Philly....
