A Message to Bush Volunteers Sharon Runner

Hi all you BUSH supporters and volunteers!!! We are here in Philadelphia and have enjoyed a wonderful first day of the convention. George and I rode the "public" transportation, via a trolly above ground and then subway to the First Union Center - like our Staples Center in LA., it took about 30 minutes, then a short walk through several metal detectors and we were there! Others rode on the buses provided, but we thought we'd be different! We found our seats, George with the Alternates on the second level and then my seat on the floor!

I am sitting to the left of the stage in the California Delegation, 11^th Row from the front, 3 chairs in from the aisle by the Texas delegation! By all those people with cowboy hats! I have a hat my mother-in-law gave me (red, white and blue sequence with stars) but I haven't been brave enough to wear it yet. One of the first things I did was find some large index cards on the seat next to me and when I looked at them they were Diane Sawyer’s from the Good Morning America Show this morning. If I get up close I will have her sign them!

Interestingly, they talked about a web site called “Pseudo.com” that has placed several specialized cameras with 360-degree views of the convention hall. Visitors to the site will be able to take control of the cameras and travel the convention hall and be part of the floor action.

Supposedly, it is live at 6 pm EDT Monday thru Thursday. Check it out and let me know. It is now almost 1:00 AM and it has been a full day. Very humid here too! Last night we had thunder, lightening and rain, for a little while. But it cleared up enough for us to see the most spectacular fireworks show provided for all the delegates here from Camden NJ on the Delaware River. There is a real excitement in the air and tonight's speech from Laura Bush was amazing!

What a wonderful first lady she will make. We all need to work hard. Sorry if I bored you, but I just wanted to give you a little taste of what we are very lucky to experience! I will try to do better tomorrow night, maybe it won't be so late. Hope you are all getting ready to organize our areas for BUSH!
