The California Congress of Republicans (CCR) was founded in 1989 by grass-root leaders who believed that in order for the Republican Party to be the leadership of this nation we must represent the mainstream majority and communicate to the public the principles which have made America great. The CCR is permanently chartered by the California Republican Party (CRP) to organize Republicans at the local level to promote the ideals and candidates of the Republican Party.

The Founders of CCR were women and men who are both moderate and conservative in their principles and knew that communication within the party and with the public is essential in building a viable organization.:  Today we welcome all Republicans who want to work together to build a better Nation.  We have never taken political stands on private, social or religious issues.  We work to register more Republicans and seek strong, electable candidates, educate voters, support all Republican candidates and get out the vote during elections. 

In the last decade of the 2Oth Century, CCR was able to grow to 41 chapters in California.  Now in the first year of the 21st Century, CCR has 25 new chapters being developed and we are expanding into other states of the union.  The strength of CCR is based upon the success of our local chapters.  It is the responsibly of the State CCR to support and help the activities of our local chapters - "All politics are local".  If you join CCR, you will find we mail to all members a "Grass Roots" Newspaper 6 times a year to inform them what is happening in the Republican Party.  We also have training year around, to help with candidate development and quarterly conferences to discuss issues and ideas.  We are all volunteers who are wise enough to hire consultants in those areas we may need expert advice.
