Subject:  AVCCR Endorsing Forum scheduled for January 14, 2002

(PALMDALE) Another election season is already upon us and it’s time to participate in the process of candidate forums and endorsements.

This year, The Antelope Valley California Congress of Republicans (AVCCR), will hold a Republican primary endorsing forum.

As prescribed in AVCCR’s official state charter, AVCCR will only be allowed to consider candidates that are registered Republicans for both participation in forums and consideration for AVCCR’s official endorsements.

While AVCCR strongly encourages all Republicans to join AVCCR, membership is not required in order to obtain AVCCR’s official endorsement.  Conversely, members of AVCCR are not guaranteed to receive the AVCCR endorsement.

All citizens are invited to attend the AVCCR forum for Republican candidates running for Assembly member for the 36th Assembly district.  Those candidates include Sharon Runner, Phil Wyman, Mike Dispenza and Ollie McCaulley.

The forum will be held on Monday, January 14th at 6:00pm.

The forum format will include a two-minute opening statement and a two-minute closing statement.  In between those statements there will be a panel of Republicans to ask the candidates questions regarding their positions on various issues.

The official AVCCR endorsements will be voted on following the membership meeting.  The results will be announced immediately thereafter.

Participation will be greatly appreciated.  If you should have any questions regarding this forum please feel free to call the office at 729-5000 or visit the website at www.avgop.com.

The California Congress of Republicans (CCR) is a grass-roots political organization, founded in 1989 and permanently chartered by the California Republican Party. CCR is built upon the shared Republican principles of individual liberty, genuine economic opportunities and leadership in world freedom.
